A Legacy of Passion, Purpose & Community

For nearly 20 years, Prince Edwards Dance Company, a nonprofit organization based in Chicago, Illinois, has been more than just a dance team—it has been a safe haven, a family, and a place where children can discover their purpose. With multiple teams under the company, including Diamond Divas and Next Level Dance Troupe, and with the generous support of various sponsors and community partners such as Mariano’s, Chicago State University, and many more, we have been able to continue growing our organization and making a positive impact in our community

Our mission has always been to help keep children off the streets by giving them a positive, productive, and creative outlet. We welcome children ages 5 and up, teaching various styles of dance including hip hop, majorette, ballet, and footworking. Over the years, we have had the privilege of reaching and positively impacting hundreds of young lives, helping children build confidence, discipline, friendships, leadership skills, and dreams for their futures.

This beautiful legacy began in April 2006, when my now-deceased son, Prince Edwards , started the team with the phenomenal dream of becoming a professional dancer. His passion and vision created something much bigger than he could have imagined.
